Alice - The Complete TV Series USB Version
"Alice" is an American sitcom that aired from 1976 to 1985. The show is based on the 1974 film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and follows the life of Alice Hyatt (played by Linda Lavin), a widowed mother who moves with her young son, Tommy (Philip McKeon), to Phoenix, Arizona after the death of her husband. Struggling to make ends meet, Alice takes a job as a waitress at Mel’s Diner, a roadside eatery run by the grumpy but lovable Mel Sharples (Vic Tayback).
At the diner, Alice bonds with her colorful coworkers:
Flo Castleberry (Polly Holliday), a sassy and outspoken waitress famous for her catchphrase, “Kiss my grits!”
Vera Gorman (Beth Howland), a sweet but ditzy waitress who often provides comic relief.
The series depicts Alice’s efforts to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer while juggling her responsibilities as a single mother and navigating the various challenges and humorous situations that arise in her job. "Alice" combines humor with touching moments and is celebrated for its strong character dynamics, witty dialogue, and memorable one-liners. The show became a staple of late 70s and early 80s television, known for its blend of workplace comedy and heartfelt storytelling.
I have many, many more hard to find and rare TV series, soap operas and dramas from way back to now from the UK, USA and Australia. If you are looking for anything in particular then drop me a message as chances are I probably have it!
