Falling Skies is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama that follows a group of survivors struggling to fight back after Earth is invaded by a powerful alien race. The series centers on Tom Mason, a former history professor turned resistance leader, as he leads a group of civilians and fighters known as the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment. Together, they must combat alien forces, including mechs and bio-engineered creatures, while grappling with internal conflicts, scarce resources, and the emotional toll of war. The show explores themes of survival, family, and resistance in the face of overwhelming odds. Falling Skies aired for 5 series from 2011 to 2015.
